Coventry Half Marathon

What’s happening?

The Coventry Half Marathon will take place on Sunday 28 April 2024 with the race starting at 9am from Gosford Street. The finish line will be outside the Cathedral with the last runners expected to cross the line at around 12:45pm.

Around the city, there will be a number of road closures from 4am until 3pm. Some road closures will be lifted sooner and when safe to do so.

Road closures

Facilitating the event will require a number of road closures which are set to be in place between 4am and 3pm.


Moreover, there will be parking suspensions from Saturday 27th April (6pm) until Sunday 28th April (1pm) to help in the safe running of the event.

Buses

A number of city centre bus routes will be disrupted.

Stagecoach X17 will start/terminate at the train station until 1pm

Birmingham New Street Station rail work disruption

If you're heading to Coventry by train for the event, please be aware that Birmingham New Street station will reopen on Sunday 28th April at 10am following an overnight closure for maintenance work of the overhead lines.

You will still be able to get to where you need to go, but consider the following:
